IT'S HERE!!! What a great blaster!

X-Shot has dropped something that could alter the foam flinging world! They released their AEB. They call it the Motorized Piston Pump. And WOW, is it cool! It is a hefty one but does it deliver! It hits over 150 fps, it is reliable and it comes in under $100 which is very impressive considering all of its AEB cousins. If you are unfamiliar, AEB stands for Automatic Electric Blaster. It is based on a classic springer because it still relies on a spring to fire the dart, but it takes inspiration from electric blasters by loading the dart electronically. No manually priming necessary. This kind of blaster is superior in many ways, especially when X-Shot has made it this accessible. How this will change the industry. X-Shot just threw down a wild card on the table. Check mate. We have been able to test it out over a period of time now. Here are some of our thoughts to you. This may be particularly helpful if you are considering purchasing one. It is a heavy blaster. It is dramatically heavier then any other springer. the hand positioning is good. The front had is pretty close to the dominant hand though. the front hand also does not get a dedicated grip. It has a handle thing that is built into the side of the mag framing on the blaster. It would have been nice if it had its own, but it is kind of hard to do that when there is no front of the blaster. That brings us to a point we were supersized about. It does have a metal barrel which is great to see for a blaster like this! But, it is completely exposed. The problem with this is that it could get damaged easily as well as it doesn't look very good in many people's opinion. It is a beefy blaster then it has a scronny front end of the blaster. What is up with this? Here at Vivid Designs Lab, we already cooked up many remedies for this problem. We have many options for front barrel shrouds that you can pick from for the Piston Pump. Check them out! Moving on, The trigger has a nice feel. It is a rotational trigger. It doesn't slide like other blasters including the younger sibling the Fury X Pro and the Longshot. It has two mag release triggers. The front one is fantastic! The rear one is fine. The front one drops a mag no problem. The issue is that the rear one doesn't release it as good as the front one so it will end up wanting to hold on more to the mag sometimes. The stock does want to rotate out of alignment if it isn't tightened down all the way. The included sights work good. Another thing that was suprising to us is that for a blaster this nice, it doesn't have a sling mount. Guess what! We fix this too! We made a simple mod you can put on the rail to attach a sling. You're welcome! Overall, it is an amazing blaster! It is reliable and fun. That's what counts at the end of the day. We have enjoyed it. It is consistant, easy to use, fun, looks good and it has reimagined the bart blaster for the next era. We recommend picking one up. We have been grinding out making mods and we now have a plethera to pick from. Check out all the upgrades for the Piston Pump AEB and enjoy! As always, happy modding!
